Werner Tomsik

Werner Tomsik works in the office of the CIO of the City of Vienna, bringing many years of experience in organization and administration to the city’s digital transformation. He is responsible for the strategic development of digitalization projects within public administration and plays a key role in integrating AI into administrative processes. Among his flagship initiatives are the projects BRISE and ADUCAT, which drive innovation in urban planning and climate resilience. In addition, he represents the City of Vienna in the Vienna Geospace Hub, strengthening the link between satellite data, AI, and public sector innovation. His focus lies on product-oriented process analysis and workflow optimization, always with the goal of delivering tangible benefits for people and making everyday life in Vienna easier, more efficient, and more human-centered.
