Joining the MCE Community represents a step forward for local authorities and organizations in cooperating and learning from each other with the aim of transforming their policies and projects to realise tangible benefits for their operations, their services and the quality of their citizens lives.
Being part of MCE Community and play an active role means opening its organisation to discover each other ideas, strategies, projects in a non-commercial environment.
The MCE Community members say that from each of the MCE Community events and by meeting colleagues across Europe they bring home ideas that they decide to implement. Some also say that in the MCE Community we say the truth: it’s not about only magnifying successes, but also telling about issues and ways to solve them, or even failures and understand their reasons.
Members participate in:
- The annual European conference, attended by many representatives of local authorities
- Thematic workshops and working groups, online seminars
- Study visits to other members and their implementations of innovative solutions and practices
- Special Interest Groups
- ISAC – Cybersecurity Information and Analysis Centre: CIOs/CISOs local authorities exchange personal sensitive knowledge to improve their individual and collective cyber resilience.
- F4T – Fund for Transition: members collaborate at identifying funding opportunities for research and innovation, specially from the EU programmes.
- eIDAS – Electronic Identification, Authentication and Trust Services – members are involved in implementing the eIDAS EU directive.
The MCE Community is accompanying cities and regions in their journey in the AI discovery and implementation. It will essentially change the way cities are going to deliver services and implement innovation.
