Marcel Simoner

Marcel Simoner leads the Digitalization & Innovation department at UIV Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH, the City of Vienna’s climate and innovation agency. His work focuses on smart city strategies, AI applications in public administration, and the development of innovation ecosystems such as the Vienna Geospace Hub and the KICK Lab for AI. With expertise in digital transformation, governance, and participatory approaches, he has shaped flagship projects including BRISE, ADUCAT, and was part of developing Vienna’s Digital Agenda 2030. He focusses on initiatives aligning urban innovation strengthening Vienna’s role as a leader in climate-neutral, human-centered digitalization.
