Karma Islam

Karma works at EIT Urban Mobility since 2020. She coordinates EIT Urban Mobility’s Special Interest Groups- strategic working groups designed to foster public private collaboration and to explore and address mobility challenges faced by European cities – and develops activities that facilitate knowledge exchange and peer-learning between EIT Urban Mobility partners and stakeholders.
She completed her MSc in Transportations Systems at the Technical university of Munich and has a background in Civil Engineering. During her studies, Karma gained practical experience through traineeships in construction management at HILL International, Building Information Modelling at BAM Deutschland, and urban policies legislations and governance at UN-HABITAT.
