George Vallas

George Vallas holds a Diplopa in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and has more than 20 years of experience in the management, coordination, and strategic planning of EU-funded research and innovation projects. He has expertise in research & development, systems and data analysis, and business planning for e-commerce and web application projects, while also contributing significantly to initiatives in digital governance, broadband, eHealth, and sustainable mobility. He has extensive involvement in major European programmes such as Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, FP7, Interreg, and CIP/ICT-PSP, undertaking roles including work package leadership, budget and resource management, technical and financial reporting, KPI monitoring, and quality assurance. His expertise combines technical knowledge with strategic insight, focusing on project management, data analytics, strategic planning, and BI dashboard design to support evidence-based decision-making and the successful translation of research into practical applications.
