Line Galy

Line Galy, a computer science engineer, is Director of the Digital and Data Division for the City and Metropolitan Area of Montpellier since 2020. She leads a team of over 100 people and develops ambitious digital strategies encompassing governance, cybersecurity, and responsible digital practices. She successfully carried out the particularly complex merger of the IT departments of the City and the Metropolis. Committed to public innovation, she initiated the first citizens’ convention on artificial intelligence in Montpellier and coordinated the training of 1,000 staff members in AI.

Previously, she headed the IT and Innovation Department of the Montpellier Education Authority for nearly 10 years, where she led major national and academic projects. Her career reflects strong expertise in management, change leadership, strategic project oversight, and institutional partnerships.
