Biography
As a thought leader with more than three decades of experience in the public services industry, Mr. Koh engages top public services agencies globally to help them with their intelligent transformation initiatives and strategic ICT design to better serve the citizens, visitors and businesses. He also advises Huawei’s product and solution teams to develop state-of-the-art ICT solutions. In addition, Mr. Koh regularly support partners’ development, internal training, and industry marketing. He is well-sought after internationally as keynote speaker, panel chairperson and workshop facilitator.
Mr. Koh started his career in the late 80s with the Singapore Police Force (SPF), and served the nation through various roles in investigation, crime prevention, public affairs, operations, training and technologies. He subsequently took an active role in the early years of the Singapore Government’s computerization initiatives, including the international award-winning Public Services Online, the first-generation e-government project of Singapore. Before joining Huawei in 2016, Mr. Koh worked in US MNCs for 16+ years on various regional and global leadership roles in the government, education and healthcare segments. Till date he has personally supported the transformation of public services agencies in 70+ countries.
Outside his work in Huawei, Mr. Koh is a member of the Singapore National Transplant Ethics Panel, and a member of the National University Health System’s Bioethics Committee. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with an Honors Degree in Mathematics. He obtained his MBA with Distinction from the University of Leeds (UK) and a Specialist Diploma in eCommerce from the Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore). He also completed an executive program with the MIT on Artificial Intelligence. He lives in Singapore with his wife and two children.
