Biography
Dominic Byrne is Project Manager for Local Government Digital and ICT Strategy in the Local Government Management Agency in Ireland and has 30 years’ experience working in IT. He holds a degree in Information Technology and a Masters in Internet Systems. He is currently on secondment from Fingal County Council to lead the development of a Digital and ICT Strategy for Local Government in Ireland. His current interests include Digital Government, Smart Places, Civic Tech and Open Data. He is a member of the All Ireland Smart Cities Forum and the national Open Data Advisory Group.
