2025 Issy-Les-Moulineaux – AI & Digital Twin for data driven urban governance
Florence’s Digital Twin project combines high-resolution aerial and terrestrial surveys with AI techniques to monitor urban assets, including trees, green areas, photovoltaic panels, and keyboxes. The system creates a georeferenced census, allowing municipal offices to remotely verify data and images, reducing on-site inspections and increasing efficiency. Privacy is safeguarded through anonymization, while Open Data fosters transparency and citizen engagement. Keybox recognition, recently trained and deployed, supports rental regulation, highlighting its strategic role. Started in 2023, the project evolves with ongoing surveys and AI applications, offering replicability for other cities and contributing to climate neutrality by 2030.
