2023 Prato – The Syllabus Initiative
In order to promote initiatives aimed at up-skilling and re-skilling of civil servants envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (2021-2026), the Department for Public Administration launched the Syllabus initiative with the purpose of providing employees with personalized e-learning courses on foundational competences based on a structured assessment of training needs and enabling the progresses measurement at individual and organizational level, through a dedicated IT platform.
The project aims at strengthening common competences of civil servants (about 3,2 millions of employees), starting from digital skills, in order to foster the digital transformation and increase the overall inclination for change and innovation within public administration.
The initiative started as a pilot project and, thanks to the NRRP investments, was strengthened and extended to other thematic domains that are considered strategic for the modernization of Italian public administrations, such as the ecological and administrative transition.
